Kaufman Teaching Certificate Program (KTCP)

The Kaufman Teaching Certificate Program (KTCP) was named in 2014 to honor a long-time friend of the Teaching and Learning Lab, Stephen P. Kaufman. With Kaufman's support, this certificate program was created for MIT graduate students and postdoctoral researchers who wish to develop their teaching skills. It is designed for participants with a variety of interests and career goals: from those who wish to develop better skills to support their teaching at MIT, to those who are planning careers in academe.

Upon completion of the program requirements, participants receive a certificate and letter from the Vice Chancellor outlining the program and confirming completion of all program requirements. This letter can be submitted with applications for teaching positions as evidence of a commitment to the teaching enterprise.

If you have questions about the program after reviewing this site, please contact Dan Nocivelli (book@mit.edu) by email or by phone at x3-2850.

Registration for KTCP Spring 2020 sessions will open in December 2, 2019.
