Using Peer Review to Enhance Your Reflective Teaching Practice

Using Peer Review to Enhance Your Reflective Teaching Practice

Join TLL’s Peer Teaching Observation Initiative and further develop a culture of reflective teaching in your department.

We are inviting departments to host a Peer Teaching Observation workshop to learn to implement an evidence-based observation protocol for peer review of teaching. In these workshops, we will engage with faculty, instructors, and teaching staff to:

  • Broaden and enrich the way faculty teaching is evaluated (developmentally or as part of the promotion and tenure process);
  • Provide more specific, actionable, and consistent peer feedback on teaching;
  • Support interested faculty in adopting practices that promote equity, inclusion, and belonging, and advance your departmental DEI goals; and
  • Adopt more research-based best practices in teaching and learning.

If you’d like to discuss how we might work with you to develop and offer a workshop in your department, please get in touch with Dr. Raechel Soicher in the Teaching + Learning Lab.
